| Anyone install disk guards on their bike? I just did on mine when I got home from work. Good ol' rear shark fin. Front runner. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| I did the shark fin, but didn't care for the front guard. The mount looked too whimpy to me. The shark fin is bolted on sturdy. The front rotor cover bracket looks like it would bend too easy if hit hard. But I'm just going by what I have seen in pictures. How solid is the front guard bracket Wolfie? | |

| The way the bracket sits on the front isn't bad. I took the dremel and honed out the mount holes aboit 1/8 of an inch forward, so the plate mates right up against the fork...otherwise there is a small space between the bracket and the fork. This way, there is no space and it's solid as a rock. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| I used the rear disc guard off of a WR250F. Bolts right up. | |

| I used the one from the WRF as well and then just shot it with satin black Krylon to match the swingarm on the WRX. The best part is that it only cost about $10 bucks including the bolts. If anyone needs it; the part numbers are: 1C3-25718-50-00 PROTECTOR, DISK BRAK $8.49 90105-06110-00 BOLT, FLANGE $0.49 (You'll need two.) | |

| what is the F disc guard made of? Does it look as sturdy as the swanky blue aluminum ones featured in the beginning of the thread? | |

| The shiznit of disk guards HAS to be the Flatland Racing.
Not sure if it's the W250F or the YZ guard for the front...
Flatland Front Guard
I'll post up some pics later. It's beefy as all get-out.

| I've had both disk guards on both bikes, plenty of marks to show they've been doing their job. The front has bent on me in the past, but it bent back easily enough. The chain guard just replaces the non-fancy stock piece and looks good. :)
I'd like to add the B+B master cylinder guard at some point myself and the GYTR axle blocks too.

| I've got the GYTR front and rear disk guards on mine. They kinda seem more like Bling than real protection. Especially the front is quite flimsy. It's better than nothing, but not by much. The Flatland front guard looks BOMBER. | |
