Electrical system not starting Empty
PostSubject: Electrical system not starting   Electrical system not starting EmptyThu Jan 19, 2012 9:32 pm

I was replacing my stock lead battery for a lighter lithium battery, that IS compatible with our 250r's. and... zZAP !
perhaps I didnt do things in the right order. Maybe positive cable touched the negative, and vis a versa....if that is the
case what could have happened?

Now, when the key turns from 'off' to 'on' the electrical does not even make a peep.
So please could someone enlighten me and help me get everything back in order?

I checked fuses under the air scoop on the front left of bike, none blown.
I tried again with the old battery, nope...
maybe there is fuses elsewhere?
Thanks Pray

The 30A main fuse is in the starter relay - it is very close to the battery at the other end of the power cable.
