So my buddy took me to the St Joe State Park in Park Hills, Missouri. 2000+ acres of Sand flats, trails, rock trails, and sandy mud pits! So it gets me thinking, I currently have 2 sets of wrr rims and am running the Mitas C16 & C17 tires which did fine in sand BTW. But I'm curious if anyone has run a 18" paddle tire on their WRR?

I am taking mine to pismo next weekend with sand paddle. I have not installed it yet, but going to when I get it in the mail. I'll let you know how it goes.

If there is a mix of hard and soft terrain I would not use paddles since they will probably rip off.

just installed a sand paddle today on my WR and China bike. My son and I will be heading down the Oregon coast to ride the dunes in 2 weeks. Last time I was down I had a brand new D606 and it worked ok in the firmer sand. The instal was not as hard as I thought it would be.

the WR did great on the dunes - Sand Lake, Florence and Coos.
The sand at Coos is finer so the front end squirmed a bit more.
Sand paddles made a huge difference over the 130 / 90 D606 I had on last spring.
My son almost lost the bike in quick sand at Florence. He was 2 ' to my right next to a small water area when he went over the handle bars and the bike was buried over the front disk in wet sand. It took some time to dig it out.

I destroyed the China bike at Coos. The rear hub failed - tore apart and the chain went through the case. Luckily we we able to drive right up to it after airing down the truck tires and taking the camper off.
