Do I need a programmer Empty
PostSubject: Do I need a programmer   Do I need a programmer EmptyTue Apr 16, 2013 6:55 pm

I just bought a 09' Wr250x with only 550miles on it. It came with a Barrel 4 exhaust slip-on.

Since I have purchased it I have removed the AIS and airbox flapper. I have also added a larger rear sprocket and chain.

I have only ridden it a few miles since I removed the AIS and flapper. Do I need to purchase a PowerCommander? Will I harm my engine with too much air? I still have the stock air filter and have not done any other modifications.

thanks in advance.

Josh

In my opinon you need one, even if no engine damage comes from it.

I tried riding my WR-250R back-to-back both with and without a programmer and the throttle response and pulling power were unquestionably better with it.
No contest for this guy.
