Does the low fuel light work normally with this tank?

I see no reason for it not to. The low fuel sensor is attached to the fuel pump which gets transplanted from the old tank to the new one.

yes it does but you may have a bit more gas left in the tank than say with the stock tank.
With my 3.1 gallon tank it would come on with about 0.8 gallon remaining.

some move the sensor down when they install the tank, since you have that much more...trial and error for finding out how much fuel is actually left...

Thanks guys. Just got off the phone with IMS and they said it should come on with about 1.5 gallons left. I may try moving it down a little re the last post. Thanks

ya know if you modify it a bit you will never be bothered by that pesky low fuel light coming on ever again!
You could be the envy of the WRR crowd, when your buds are telling you they need gas since their light is on you can simply reply "OK, but no light here"
