In Michigan, for a WR 250 R, am I apt to get a better price in the winter.....are dealers more likely to negotiate?

What do you think the answer is?

What's common sense say?

I love buying bikes in the winter, even more so private party. I've saved a boat load.

I see 2011's, 12's and  even some new 13's, on Cycle Trader, for pretty much the same price, which seems counter-intuitive and caused me to wonder about the pricing cycle of the WR250R. "Trust (your common sense) but verify" seems like a prudent strategy.

What's advertised, and what they'll actually take are two different things.

You want to save money and get a good deal, buy a used bike from a private owner in the winter time.

You want to piss away money, buy the newest model from a dealer in late spring/early summer.

Simple as that.

The end price you pay for anything comes down to your own personal negotiating skills, some luck, and how motivated the seller is.

Here's a 2010 with only 70 miles on it fairly close to you (well, South Bend anyway):  http://southbend.craigslist.org/mcy/4101161939.html

Bet you could get another $500 or so off that price...

I wanted a used wrr when I bought mine last year but there were none around here, if you can find a used one buy it.

The local dealers will not give any deals on wrr's here, they only bring 1 or 2 in a year, I had to ask them to bring me in one so I didnt get any type of deal what so ever.

Bought my 2013 in July for $6100 OTD

Dealer had to order it on a Monday and I took delivery Friday. As stated before most dealers sell a few the entire year so they don't keep stock of WR's.
