Picked up a 2016 WR250R a couple of weeks ago. Already put on the Flatlands Racing skid plate, but need to install hand guards. I would prefer one with center brackets or spacers that were round so I can mount my RAM GPS mount to it to make room for the guards. Any suggestions?

not sure if they will work for you but Highway Dirt Bikes makes a great set of hand-guards. They advertise on this forum frequently. I would have gone with them if the lightly used '12 I got didn't already have some.

+1 on the Highway ones. Also solves your (upcoming) mirror dilemma.
Would put them on mine also ...if it didn't already have others already mounted.

+2 for Highway Dirt Bikes Ultimate handguards, for several reasons other than just the RAM mount capability:
1) The aluminum guards themselves are bomber tough and don't bend easily like the cheaper Acerbis Rally Pro and similar guards.
2) HDB guards securely bolt into tapped and threaded bar ends, unlike the rubber-covered expander bolts on most cheaper guards.
3) HDB guards securely bolt to a HDB top clamp on the inboard side, unlike the cheap crappy clamp that go around the bars on the cheaper guards.
4) HDB offers option for integrated folding mirrors, unlike anything else on the market.

I originally had Acerbis Rally Pro guards and hated them because they would always spin when I really needed them to protect the controls.  Eventually the inserts broke inside the bar ends.  I have HDB Ultimate guards now and love them.

Here are a couple of photos I found on the web that show options for installing RAM mounts in the HDB top clamp.  There are various top clamp configurations available.  You can see more info on the HDB website.  HDB guards require aluminum fat bars to accommodate the tapped bar ends.  The stock 7/8' steel bars aren't thick enough for tapping.  HDB sends a tap with the guard kit, or they'll tap them for free if you order new bars from them along with the guards.

g2 ergonomics is a great company! Small company and they sponsor some of the biggest teams out there, I've got a set on my bike and love them. Can choose almost any color combo you can think of

Nice pics WWGUY. I think I might upgrade after seeing the top mount. Looks like HD it the way to go.

So I went to there website to look at the patterns and they are diff than yours. you have the ram mount holes on top which I like and want my switches closer to me. The patterns are the exact opposite.   Also I want it in RED wink

Sorry for any confusion.  The previous images aren't mine.  I copied them from this old ADVrider thread because the OP was asking about RAM mounts.

Not sure why HDB doesn't still show that configuration on their template list.  It's on a couple of bike in their photo gallery, like this one:

My own HDB top clamp is a little simpler:

I have some average handguards on my WR. After installing the HDB guards on my Husky, I'm definitely getting some for the WR when the present set is trashed. HUGE difference!
