Adjustable Sidestand

A little project I did to deal with having two different sets of wheels.

I cut the end of the X sidestand off, ground off the finish to allow the new extension to slide over, drilled a couple holes, welded a new foot onto the extension. Actually, my Dad did the honors on the welding, and he's pretty new to it, but it's functional, if not pretty. I need to sand the sidestand a little more and repaint it for a finished look. If you can't tell, there is a pin that pulls out to allow adjusting to either the long or short length, and a cotter pin in the back to keep it pinned. Took it for a 100 mile test ride today with no problems.

I think it may have been sloth, but in this case definatly necessity.
