Subject: Was the rear rebound ever remedied? Fri May 21, 2021 9:03 pm
I know the WR250R has had criticism for a poor rebound on the rear suspension resulting in a tendency to buck. Apparently it’s caused because there aren’t enough shims in the rebound side of the rear shock. Was this every fixed at any point in the lifespan of the WRR or do they all have that issue right through to 2020?

There have been no revisions to the WRR, so the problem exists on all model years.
Having said that, it is not too difficult or expensive to remedy with the Race Tech Gold Valve kit.

Oh? Is there a post here on the forums about how that’s done?

There is a useful write up on ADVrider on how to open the WRR rear shock, and you can find plenty of YT videos on how to service a rear shock in general.
