after reading they were being discontinued i made a last minute impulse decision to buy one of the last 2020 WRs available in the southeast U.S. a couple years ago instead of the ktm 890 r i'd been saving up for and i've since fallen in love with the thing.
i'd been saving up for a SM wheel setup for it but now i'm thinking of making another last minute change and doing a flat track style 19" front and rear as seen in the video below. i saw a few of these "bigfoot" SMs around back in the late 00s and early 10s when supermotos were really trendy and they looked like fun. i understand all the arguments why i should just do a SM with aggressive tires instead and don't necessarily disagree that's a better idea in principle but i think i'm going to do this anyway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNLXTcdjfqA
does anyone have any suggestions on an available wheel/tire combination to make this happen or a source for flat track size (but not actual flat track construction) wheels? i also thought about just buying an 18" front and doing an 18" front and rear if i could actually find a set of tires for that but a quick search didn't turn up anythink likely and i really want to keep the stock wheels available with knobbies.
