For any of you who have sticker shock at Yamaha's price of $255 for headlight replacement, try one of Baja Designs rectangular headlight lens ($44.00). They're a perfect replacement with no mod needed to the mounting bracket. They even come with a parking/clearance light that you can wire into the a key switched circuit.

You can make your own out of a piece of plexiglass and industrial grade velcro.
Total cost less than 5 bucks.
I do it on ever bike I get and it has saved my money more than once.
