 Off idle stumble

Is it normal that these bikes (x) stumble off idle? Going slow like into a driveway I open the throttle just a tough and it gets all jumpy.. Feels like I have 4" of chain slack.. Even going faster its not smooth from off throttle to on unless you stab it.

Mine was like that a bit at first. After I got rid of the stock rear sprocket with that pseudo cush drive it got better.
