Skid plate fit on Canadian v/s Californian Wr250x model

Hi

I want to order an evotech skid plate for my bike witch was a 2009 canadian model!!.......I've heard that this plate will not fit if there is a recirculation bottle present on californian models due to the antipollution laws in this state....

Did someone know if the wr sold in canada have the antipollution system specified for the californian reglementation???
