Bike won't start- confused in Kenya Empty

Hi there,
Just moved out to Kenya and brought a 2009 WRR out with mr with 800 miles on the clock. Came off the plane and hooked up the battery. Bike started first time.
Then, to fit an evotech tail tidy, I disconnected rear indicators and number plate light, removed rubber band over ecu, slipped out rear fender and removed the rear number plate hanger.
Replaced hanger with Evotech one and reconnected indicators and attached new LED number plate light wires to where originals left connector.
Tried to start bike: whirring up front of fuel pump, click of relay but no dashboard illumination/digits, nothing on pressing starter button, no brake light activation, no horn. Indicators do work. Charge on battery is 12v.

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers
John

^^ +1

Also, check the tip-over switch. You have have disturbed it when you did your tail tidy. Then, there are the usual suspects; kill switch, kickstand switch & clutch switch.

I'd say it the 10A fuse in behind the left shroud pocket. Small little red one. The tip over sensor would reset once you turned the key back on after trying it once. thumb

That one little fuse has caused all kinds of headaches for other riders...but now since you know where to look, and you happen to have those same symptoms again, you can fix it. If you do happen to blow it again, chances are you've got a dead short somewhere, like a wire grounding. I had it happen when i changed out my tail light and it was because I forgot to tape up an exposed wire. Rolling Eyes Very happy
