I made this last night and it turned out pretty good. Time will tell how long it will last. Seems like its tucked back in far enough it should take a fall of two. Alan

Nice job on the mount, havent seen one like that before. Aluminum or steel?

IMHO: Dont trust the plastic mounts on the stock 'TSC' tool tubes... ifyou have some tool mass in there, they will break off under load. (Don't ask me how I know.) Thinking about a mount like yours... but I'd probably have large hose clamps to fit the tool tube.

Steel. Light weight angle iron. I might put a clamp around it just to be safe.

Here's mine. The clamp is a 3 in. stainless steel exhaust clamp from Jeg's. No cutting of stock brackets, and I still have the helmet lock.

Which tool tube mount idea matches the lines of the FMF slip on the best?

I like the look of the mount with the stainless clamp, could it be slid back more and also use the stock tool box?
