| I want to do away with the stock rear fender as it looks too bulky. Does anyone have any suggestions on fender eliminators that work on their wr250r or have instructions on how to do this modification oneself? Zac | |

| Motokid, You have helped me several times, Error Code 17, installing my fuel programmer and posting pictures, and I really appreciate it. This eliminator is hot! I am going to order it and I will repost during the installation as something will probably stump me. TKs, Zac Denton | |

| This thread might be helpful for you. When you mod the (whale) tail, you might want to get rid of the bulky flashers too. If you replace them for LED ones, you will have to replace the relay too. These are the parts I used: 1 X DRC Moto led Edge-2 Tail Light Holder (red) D45-18-731
2 X DRC Moto led 602 LED Flasher set (2) D45-60-307 (for the front and back)
1 X DRC Moto led IC relay for DC D45-69-830 (fast blink delete)
Front Flasher Holders (brackets) for front: 9912 (D45-59-912) (I think)here's the result:

| Awesome thread Delta_T Just an FYI....it is possible to re-use the stock Yamaha turn signals with the aftermarket fender eliminator. Some will say it's still butt-ugly....but it works. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| I just spoke with the people at the Wheeling Cycle Supply store. Motokid or whoever, is it going to be hard to make this modification without replacing the signals? | |

| No. Hold on to all Yamaha washers. I think I shortened the stalks on stock turn signals.
I also had a spare lock washer for each side too.
Other than a spare washer or two, I did not have to do anything special or difficult to re-use the stock turn signals. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Thanks! It is an aftermarket Acebis short supermoto front fender. I came with the bike when I bought it and it looks a lot better then the stock one, especially with those small X wheels. A big fender with small dinky wheels makes it look goofy I am still not a fan of those 17 inchers though. | |

I agree, the big fender does look goofy but it's very efficient at keeping mud and water out of my face... As this bike is my daily-driver, I'll hand on to the goofy fender til' summer and then I'll get the Acebis one. Can i trouble you for a closeup of the fender? (especially the area where it meets the headlight frame) Thanks p.s. Sorry for the hostile takeover, can one of the admins please split this thread?

Sure, no problem. I stored the bike, so I will have to move some stuff to access it. I will post a pic as soon as I have made one.
