A couple of rides were pretty cool like 15 celcius (60F) and the fan was on maybe 20-25% of the time, and last weekend was a warm one, maybe 27 celcius ( 80F) and it was on 50-60% of the time... maybe more

| Same thing with me. When going slow there isnt much wind going over the rad, guard or no guard, so the fan is coming on alot to cool the bike. I would be more concerned if it WASN'T turning on at all. I have a in line coolant temp on my bike. As soon as you hit a part of the trail where you can open it up, the temp drops up to 15deg sometimes. My bike sits at between 98c -> 103c when riding tight single track. We are only in the low 20s right now to. Summer we can reach 38c so that will be the true test on this little bikes coolant system.
I don't see the fan coming on as a problem. My $0.02

What brand of rad guard? I have the moose racing one and my fan only comes on at very low speeds. The devol one looks like it might cause some restriction, but I don't have one and can't really say for sure.

| Same here. Mine runs quite a bit when going slow, even in relatively cool temps. Normal. | |

| I have the stock radiator guard and mine always seems to be on as well. If I'm not riding consistently at 3rd gear speeds it comes on pretty quick and pretty much stays on. | |
