Mounting a TRAIL TECH TTO tachometer Empty

Does any one have any experience mounting a Trail Tech TTO tachometer. Is there somewhere Yamaha has for attaching an aftermarket tachometer. Trail Tech's own demo shows it rapped around the spark plug cable on a Non-FI bike. WRR has the coil on plug arrangement and two wires coming into it. Do I wrap at that point, and do I wrap both wires (orange& red/blk) or just one of them??

Supposed to wrap it around just the orange wire going to the coil.
