| I have 1221 miles on my X. Flapper glued down. Stock air filter. AIS removed. Stock exhaust. Attitude EFI programmer installed. Been well over 200 miles with this exact condition of mods. Here's what my plug looked like today: Not a bit of color anywhere on the ceramic???????? It's white as snow. How much should I add to which settings on my EFI unit to richen thinks up a bit? I was not expecting WHITE???? My current settings are: 2, 3, 1, 8, 4.5, 5 _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| I've seen too lean, and the electrode itself would be white. yours just looks clean. I run 3,3,3,8,8,8 and am pretty happy with it. | |

| I bumped up to: 2.5, 3.5, 1.5, 8, 5, 5.5 Just rode her for about 40 miles. Felt fine. I'll check plug after a few tank fulls of gas have been run through her. Next weekend I guess. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

(customer service ) He said I should go up a light on my settings. * Derek is the owner of Attitude Industries, the company that I bought my EFI programmer from. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| I know this is from a scooter forum, but this seems like good info regardless of what you ride (read the first post)...
http://battlescooter.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Tuning&action=display&thread=299
And this was paraphrased from another site, but it's the same way I have always read spark plugs....
"The ground strap shows your heat range, not your mixture. If the change in color is in the middle of the strap your heat range is correct. If the color changes right near the threads, you need a cooler plug. If it changes by the tip, you need a warmer plug. Mixture is read buy looking at the base ring, or right where the ground strap is welded on (the bottom thread surface). What you want is a full turn of light soot. Anything heavier is rich, lighter in color is lean. Do not look at the porcelain for mixture readings. Modern fuel has so many additives that the porcelain will always look clean. If you see numerous black or shiny specs that look metallic, then you have pre-ignition/detonation happening."

| So based on what you posted, and my crappy picture that does not allow you to look into the plug....what's your thoughts on the base ring? And the ground strap?
Just asking for opinion....I understand this reading of the plugs things is witchcraftery stuff. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| It's kind of hard to tell from the angle of your pic. Hard to see the straps and base ring good. Maybe tilt it more towards the camera next time. It doesn't look bad to me though. Not overly rich or lean. But then everyone has an opinion about how plugs look. Ask 10 guys and get 10 answers. Take it all with a grain of sand and average out the best responses and you'll probably be in the ballpark. | |

| I'll try to get better pics next weekend. Plug is back in bike and everything is buttoned up for riding. All opinions of what plug looks like are appreciated but not to ever be used against anyone in the future. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| you might check out "The Official FI Mapping" thread, a sticky in the "Oh Those Sweet Mods" forum. some programmer numbers and comments are listed there, and you might add yours.
SheWolf posted several settings for her bike with different mods.
current 'Tude settings on my WRR are: 1.5, 2.5, 2, 4, 4, 4
bike has had the flapper/AIS-ectory, Uni air filter, and a 1x3" hole in the airbox; stock exhaust. the settings are just based on my butt-dyno and throttle feel. haven't checked the plug, but the tail pipe is clean and soot-free. the performance gains put a big smile on my face!
let us know how you end up liking the 2.5, 3.5, 1.5, 8, 5, 5.5 settings, or if you change them
