How to remove Airbox? Empty
PostSubject: How to remove Airbox?   How to remove Airbox? EmptyThu Oct 04, 2012 2:37 pm

Going to pull my airbox out and wanted to make sure I could do it the way I think I need to.

Looks like it can be pulled out to the back after the rear wheel is removed. Would need to remove connectors, hoses, battery, and bolts and just pull out the back end.

Am I missing anything? Any tips would be appreciated.

Ended up not pulling the airbox. Looked like a big pain in the #ss. Just chopped off top of spare airbox and reinstalled flapper system and moved the door from spare box to my existing one.

The silence is deafening! Yes, lost some spunk, but no more headaches baldy from the drone.

Would have been easier to just start wearing ear plugs.

Always wear earplugs. Could have gouged out my eardrums but I thought that might have been extreme! Actually besides the noise there is a resonance that seems affect me with the airbox open. Kind of like a big bass woofer. Now I don't even hear the bike, just the wind.....
