Flange spacer Empty
PostSubject: Flange spacer   Flange spacer EmptySat Dec 08, 2012 4:01 pm

I have a wr250r and I am setting up a set of x wheels and I'm installing the new bearings in the x front wheel and the parts diagrams show a flange spacer along with the regular tube spacer in between the bearings but on the R there isn't a flange spacer. I have the part but I'm not sure if it is necessary to use can anyone give me any advice in the matter?

Depends on whether or not it will fit inside the wheel hub while being pressed onto the midway point of the long spacer, which is where it goes when used.

On bikes it's used on, it keeps the long spacer between the two wheel bearings from falling down and out of alignment with the center races of the bearings, making sliding the wheel axle through difficult.
