My 2015 WR250R odometer is reading high. My last trip was 111 miles and the GPS showed 94 miles. The other riders GPS matched my GPS numbers. I have the D606 on the rear with a 13/50 gearing and the MT 21 on the front. I am not concerned with the speedometer. I would like to get the odometer dialed in so when I am using roll charts things match up. The bike is still under warranty. Should I take it back or fix it? If I fix it, how do I do that? I saw the product that can get your speed correct, but what about the odometer? Both speed and mileage are way off.

You changed your gearing. Your speedometer and your odometer have been effected.

Buy this: http://shop.12oclocklabs.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=59

Correct your odometer if that's what you want. Just be aware your speedometer will still be way off.

You can't have both.

You can thank Yamaha for that.

My son and I have the same 13/48 set up, 2012 and 2014 and the two bikes don't read the same. We are around 13-15 mph fast on the speedos and he will show a mile or two more at fill up time and we are running the same trails.  It is just a funky set up. I wired up a 12 plug and rely on a gps for true speed. 60mph on the gps is showing 73 on the speedo.

Recently went through the process myself.  Increased the size of my rear gear, and my speedo and odo were WAY out to lunch.  Did some checks vs gps and found I was averaging 21-22% higher on the speedo than gps readings. I'm at 13/48 gearing.

Ordered the SpeedoDRD that motokid provided a link to above, watched a youtube vid on install (don't like reading instructions), and installed in about 5 minutes.  Install was removing the seat and left side cover, plugging it in inline, and setting the percentage of correction.  The product website has a handy calculator to help you find the correction settings based on tire size and actual gearing vs stock, or you can fill in yourself with gps readings.

Seems to be working smoothly, and weighs an ounce or two.
