so i'm getting excel rim, and the shop has been strugling with them for a couple of days now and they find that my r2 hub won't work with excel's spoke kit, and excel doesn't build a kit for the r2, can a put on an f hub? will the brake rotor fit on it? or do i gotta get an aftermarket hub???

Not sure where I read it, but the F hub won't work with the brake setup. It's too tall with the rotor installed. I'm not sure what rims Forrest uses at Wheeling Cycle, you could give him a shout and ask him. Something tells me though that there are spokes to fit that rim, I just can't remember where I saw that. dunno

damn it wouldn't ya know it!! i've already bought the rim and spokes and i have a bad tendency of bending em, that's why i was going to and excell a60, they're as tough as they come. there has got to be a way of getting a hub that will work with em and still fit onto my bike

That's where the problem lies is where the rotor of that setup aligns with the caliper off the R. The rotor sits too high and won't fit in the caliper.
