| though i have an fmf programmer, i have never tweaked it. its set, already, like most here have posted...very close...and works well. My question is about programming the timing part of the equation... ...for performance...i assume...you would want to see the changes as quickly as possible?...can it come on too quick?, for a particular setting? The amount of fuel seems straight forward...just the timing part I'm wonderin about. Any advice for a noob?...shootin from the hip... | |

| I have no idea what you're talking about, but I think you're WAY overthinking things here. You're FmF programmer is very limited in what it can do. Go here (click me) and see what others have been doing. Then make some changes and ride. Then decide if you like the changes or not. It's really no more complicated than that. Have some fun. Go "tweak" it and ride the balls off it. See what you think. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| I think he's talking about the 4th, 5th, and 6th modes, the ones that control how much delay in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd modes. | |

Yeah, I'll accept that. I still fall back on the "over-thinking" part. Experiment and see what happens. Raise or lower a setting two lights and ride it. See what happens. Write down the base settings before you change it and then have some fun. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Yes that is what i am refering to. Problem is I get extra brilliant when I'm drinking....call it a gift...heh Then you know something's gonna get overthunked.
So, the sooner its gets more fuel, the more performance?...or is it more timing the sweet spot in the rev? ...just lookin for a place to start these mad experiments... ...plus my bike came with a programmer and works well for this noob...Though I cannot leave well enough alone sometimes...that liquid brilliance proly. ...thanks for chiming in. | |

Not necessarily....leaner is meaner...remember. So adding more fuel can make things over-rich was does not mean more power or faster. Just means you burn more fuel with no extra gain. Experiment. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| If you really want to get dialed in, get Autotune and Power Commander. Night and day difference between stock tune with mods and fully tuned. Installed mine last week and have been loving life since. | |
