Wow.... anybody watch the Flyers Penguins game yesterday?

The goalies are playing like crap, but damn are the games fun to watch.

I say that fullwell knowing that penguins fans might not be having as much fun.




By the way - Sidney Crosby is still a fuckin' douche that needs a good fist to his face at least once in this series.

So far I've only seen bits and pieces of highlights, being 5 hours behind everything up here, but LETS GO CAPS!

Nobody serves themselves a bigger piece of humble pie than a Philly team, and in the case of the Flyers, they appear to be the greediest bunch of M F'ers in town.

Flyers had the Penguins on the ice, with their skate blades firmly across the Penguins necks, and rather than putting away their opponent, they helped the Penguins up, gave them a nice 2 x 4 with a rusty nail in it, turned their backs to the Penguins and knelt down with their eyes closed.


Most pathetic.

Only thing positive I can say is that the Flyers didn't resort to playing dirty. They didn't send out the goon squad and attempt to do anything unprofessional.

I'm also very glad the Penquins sat back and laughed once the score reached 10-3 and stopped trying to score more goals. I think the way the Flyers were playing the Penguins could have easily gotten to 15 goals had they not had some level of mercy in their souls.

No matter who wins I hope for a 7 game series because they are 2 of the better teams in the playoffs. (with crappy goaltending apparently)
Bruins - Caps is also a great matchup.

Can the Flyers rebound after an EPIC ass-stomping on Wednesday night?

The Flyers have owned the penguins in their new arena. Owned them.

I see tonight's game as the make or break game for the Orange & Black.
Either the Flyers win tonight, or the Penguins will take the series in 7 games.

I just hope the boys from Philly can remember how to play defense, and that Bryz can channel the goalie he was in March at least one more time.

Game 6 - Flyers - Penguins

Noon.

Early game in Philly.

Who will be playing golf sooner than the others?

Who will be eating humble pie?

At this point I can't even begin to speculate. I have no idea what team will show up for Philly today.

I'm hoping the Flyers win, but have little confidence at this point. Game 5 was much better defensively, but it was still a loss.

What are the odds that a team can win a series being down three games to zero, and then just two years later lose a series when they were up three games to zero? Must be astronomical.

If any team can be that team, surely it's a Philly team............

So the last 4 years of Stanley Cup winners have been eliminated from first round. Awesome.


Tonight we'll know who wins the other two series still going, and have an opponent for the Flyers in the second round.

Best news is, it can't be the Rangers.

At least not the second round anyway.

It'll be either the Caps, Devils, or Panthers.

Flyers vs Devils starts Sunday at 3:00pm.

(no where near as scared of the Devils in 2012 as I was in that idea about 10 years ago)

Flyers vs. Devils should be a good series. I predict Flyers win it in 5 games.

Flyers forgot how to play hockey for the first period. Got lucky the score was only 1-0.

Flyers won second period with 2 goals to Devils 1.

Tied 2-2 going into third period.

Flyers need to play hard to not lose game 1 on home ice.

Flyers need to really WANT this win. I'm not sure I've seen that WANT yet from the Flyers.

20 minutes of regulation.

Flyers need to win this 20 minutes.

I like the flyers in this series. Giroux is the best player in the game right now, in my opinion, and that's coming from a die hard Captials fan. He made over-rated crosby look like a bitch, and I respect him for that, because I hate crosby.

Looks like the Flyers have remembered they're playing in the playoffs.

Game 1 did not disappoint as far as excitement goes.

Game 2 tonight

I know. I have to work so I'm going to miss the entire first period and possibly a decent sized chunk of the second.

Hopefully the Flyers don't have to spend 20 minutes remembering they're playing for something serious tonight.
