Stock exhaust weight Empty
PostSubject: Stock exhaust weight   Stock exhaust weight EmptySat Oct 17, 2009 4:30 am

Every time I remove/add something from/to my bike I weigh it with kitchen scales. My new GYTR exhaust arrived today (it is 2.7kg) so I removed the stock exhaust but it is too heavy to weigh with kitchen scales (they have a limit fo 3.3kg) so I had to use our anlogue bathroom scales which are very inaccurate. I measured the weight a few times and results varying from 4.5kg to 5.5kg. Has anyone weighed their stock exhaust no EXUP attached with more accurate scales a digital bathroom scale should be accurate enough? If so what was the weight? The international bike's exhaust does differ from the North American one so I would prefer the international bike's exhaust weight but the North American bike's one should do.

Thanks for any help. thumb

11lb?? But I maybe believe that's pipe, header, and ex-up.

Thanks Sarah.
I think that weight means just the header and exhaust no EXUP.
That makes it 5kg for both.

Here's my weight estimate. The GYTR is lighter than the OEM.

I'm not going to drill things to make them lighter. I'm not running helium in my tires.

My 100 oz of H2O weighs 100/128 of 7.8 Lbs per gallon. You do the math.

Jenny Craig sucks.

We need a weight oath mantra or something.

" I could be lighter, but the truth is, I'm actually going to get heavier at some point, then lighter on the way back".

All in good fun bro...Drill away.
