Yanni's Big Brother (Yes, another Yamaha in the garage)

My spa guy had an 04 WR450F that was in decent shape for a (CA) price I couldn't refuse.

The girl jumped all over him (this one is now named "Yogi" - her bikes are males) and by sunset she had it disassembled, cleaned, touched-up, serviced and lined-up in the bike-line.

Even though she has the CRF250X, I'm guessing once she rides the 4-5-0 she's going to want to DS the WR450F and the WRR (Yanni) down to my (20 YO) daughter (who has been riding 16 years of her life) once she recovers from her heart surgery (next year).

There's a few cosmetics and it needs a pipe, handguards, engine guards, tank (Etc) but as-is, this thing rips. Feels like it rips harder than my 450X. Which is funny because my bud's 07 WR450F wasn't remarkably different power-wise (seemed less than) than my CRF450X.

Anyways... Garage score: Three (3) Yamahas, two (2) KTMS, two (2) Hondas, and a Suzuki (1).

I was going to get a WR-450F before I found my WR-250F.

Get some tires and a shift lever for Christmas. :)

I think I'll ride it over the holidays. Bummer though... It's a RED Sticker ( Three month hiatus over the summer, but no bother to me, we don't ride in those areas in the summer anyways ~ shrug ~)

It was so warm here yesterday I was a no-show at work. Should be warmer this W/E (~80).

You guys are going to freak on this...

So part of the price deal was for me to get this guys quad sold.

The quad was a, like new, one tank used, 08 Yam Raptor. OTD price for a new one is roughly $5K.

He only wanted $3K for both of them, but since I had no room for, or interest in the quad, he said he'd take $1500 for the bike and whatever I was able to sell the quad for was off the $3K total he wanted for both.

I sold the quad today for $2k, and paid him $1K for the WR.

We cleaned the bike, and it took a lil elbow grease, changed the oil (I had a filter for and put 'er all back together. The carb is mucked-up with ethenal in the gas symptoms so I need to go back in, but otherwise, here's the result. I have a Santa list a mile long.







I'm still freakin out myself...
