How many miles do you have on your WR250R/X ???

I just bought a 2008 WR250X with 2,100 miles on it,and I was just wondering how many miles should I expect to get out of a bike like this over it's lifespan? (With Proper Maintenance)
Ive seen other street and sport bikes with 80,000 plus miles on them.

Just about at 24,000 miles on my '08. Checked the valves for the first time a few days ago and the exhaust side was a little tight, first time I've seen the inside of the motor. Everything still looked new to me. Otherwise, just oil, filters, and riding. If I decide to keep it past this year (when it will have ~40k if my riding habits hold up) I'll probably shoot for 100k miles on it just to see.

My X is now at 11,200 miles. 12k miles service due probably end June/beginning July. I changed front brake pads at around 10,500 miles. Chain/sprockets still seem pretty good. Spokes are not shiny any more. A bit of rust forming at weld joints around rear frame - very superficial & nothing a drop of Hammerite can't solve. Apart from regular oil changes & tyres, bike runs the same as when I bought it at 2,000 miles in March 2010. I love far Eastern engineering - I own a Japanese bike & Korean car

How long did your chain/sprockets last, or are you still on originals???

God no. My stock sprocket and chain were shot at about 6000 miles, but I ride a lot in the dirt too and most of that was in winter (salty roads here not helping). Swapped to an RK X-ring chain with 13/46 and later a 14T steel sprocket, got about 10k out of that set before I pre-emptively replaced them for a road trip with the same. Current chain and sprocket has about 8000 miles on it, I'd say its about halfway worn. I do finally have to replace my brake pads (still on originals, I'm easy on brakes). Have replaced the brake fluid and coolant too.

Just over 500 at this point. They don't add up too quickly when doing 20-30 miles a weekend of just single track.

I have a whopping 136 miles.

9000. Original chain, original brakes, etc etc. Oil changes and air filter lubing is the only maintenance I've had to do.... Other than a few sets of fork seals....

I've got almost 6200 miles on mine. Most of it in dirt. However, I have started using it to commute and I leave in 2 weeks on a 2000+ mile road trip. So my mileage will significantly increase in the near future.

12k on mine. Going to slap some new skins on it at the end of the week.

And that's not even necessary. Usually just need to clean them properly. I'm at 16k miles on mine, fork seals started leaking at 12k, all I did was pull the fork dust seals down and use a thin piece of plastic(I cut up a 2 liter bottle) to clean the fork oil seals and the dust seals, slide the dust seals back in to the fork and back to new....

i have 16 miles lmfao heres why. i live in alaska and i just got back from a deployment to pakistan and i bough my bike in feb obviously its freezing here in alaska ,and i went on leave to visit family in florida then came back road it for 2 days around my house then had to come to washington state for 22 days i get to go home in a week and ride i cant wait but i only get to ride till late july bc im deploying again WTF

Always try that first. Problem is that I ride it like a motocross bike. Actually blow the seals. Thanks though.

I have about 10,000 miles on my R, replaced my chain and sprockets at 8,000, I'm on my third rear tire and my second front tire.

I have 29,300 on mine, still runs like a top.

I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my tag, registration, and title. I put three miles on it blasting up and down the street because I got sick of staring at the bike in the garage not knowing what it could do.

Just rounded 3500 hard, daily-driven, weekend-romping miles this morning. And plan on many more...

I have a bit over 15,000 miles indicated on mine. I figure its closer to 12,000 though. I don't have a speedo healer. Anybody with really big miles now??

'08 with 963 miles.

Bought it late last fall with 178 miles.

I have 2750kms now. 2011 WR250R. Bought in September.

I'm at about 12,000 miles on my 08 R.

I just bought mine 3 weeks ago with 189. It now has 639, but that is going up quickly.
