I agree with you. 2 issues. That's what I was hearing. A buzzing/moan at certain RPMs and a general engine noise reflection. Still riding without the skidplate and enjoying it.

I would love to, for both noise and weight, but i can't afford to, not with the terrain I ride on and sometimes come into contact with... :)

I went to Harbor Frieght and bought 2 of their rubber saftey step pads and a can of contact cement. The pads cover the whole bottom of the Flatland plate and I have no vibration or noise issues.

I love my Flatlands... I just put a sheet of rubber sheet - that I got ACE hardware and put it between the frame and the skid plate -- the noise disappeared. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=329337&page=727

I love mine and I love the sound that comes with it. I really love it when I smack the top step of a steep set and watch it turn to dust.
