What's a good price for a new old stock 2012 wr250r.

My 2008 wr250r and I were in a bad accident in April. I'm finally healed enough to ride again and I'm searching for another bike. I have found a new 2012 model priced at $5,990. I'd like to try getting a few more hundred off. How much do these things regularly go for from the dealer?

Talked them down to 5,675 +ttl.  6,050 otd.  I'm sure many have done better but I've never been that great at dickering with the salesman.

If your happy it's a good deal. That's like what, 800 or so below msrp? Mine was two years old, new and I was very happy with 1000 off especially since the 2010's had a price increase.

It's about 900 below msrp. It's a great bike so I'll be happy. :)

You got a good deal, I should have tried harder but I was excited about getting a new bike.

I purchased my old wr250r used and it had the suspension lowered all the way plus a yamalink installed. I didn't realize how tall these things are stock! I'm a tall guy but I think I will lower it.


Could anyone send me the service manual? :)

Around here you have to get the dealer to bring a wrr in so you can get one, they wont drop the price a cent and theres no left overs to be had. IMO anything below msrp is a god deal  

I think you got a great price. Sounds good. You have to remember, the dealer has to make a profit also, otherwise no dealer. That's not good for anyone. You did better than me, but of course, I bought my 2012 last year.
