Temperature of your morning commute

Last Saturday morning (my F800GS at the tail end of an 8,300 km trip, not the WRR) ...

My "morning" commute is normally around 2pm. Sunny and 93 today...

43 this morning. Balaclava threshold for me. I did not have one today, but next time I see forecast for weather this chilly or colder, and I'll have one on.

MX helmet and goggles makes for cold ears below 45 degrees and above 40 mph.

39 F this morning.

Did not wear proper gloves..... brrrr....

Weather station said 38, thermometer outside my window said 43. I passed some low areas with frost on the ground. My hands said BRRRR. I was holding tight to my heated grips. Time to put the mitts on...  

I can't complain, so far the autumn has been quite mild and very nice.

Haha, I gave up riding to work when the temp dipped below 60 degrees.

Snow here yesterday. Although it didn't stay on the ground more than a couple of hours. Forerunner of things to come.

December 1st - upper 40's before sun rise. Not bad.
Heading to lower 60's, but maybe some rain for ride home.


Still, couldn't pass up the chance to ride into work one more time this year.

Risk - reward....

I rode to work, too.
45 degrees when I left at 7:50 am and 52 degrees for the ride home at 4:30 pm.
Wish the whole winter was like that.

I'm about the same as you in Newcastle. Although my coldest one was 2°C. I knew I was alive that day.

22F was the lowest temp that I have seen in my commute.

Usually if it gets below 32F I don't ride since ice and the bike don't play together very nice. However down south we can get the occasional cold snap without any snow or rain preceding it.

Less than 24 hours after riding home in 60 degree weather, sleet was ticking off my windows.

Needless to say the wr250x is safely tucked away in garage on trickle charger again.

27deg F ride for 16 miles, wearing t shirt, hoodie, A stars adv touring jacket and blue jeans with a carhartt bib. Not bad till I pass the 20 mile mark

Rain, overcast, windy, just a crappy morning. Temp was 38 but felt like mid-20s.

First ride into work in 2015.

Temp is 43 degrees and heading to low 70's today - with no chance of rain.

Bike fired right up and felt like an old friend right away. What a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong and crappy winter it was.

1°C (34°F) but the ride home is supposed to be around 20°C (68°F).

51 this morning, 73 this afternoon, but I've been riding to work for the last month.
Heated Grips on the Buell Ulysses helps.

Last month, my first day riding to work I got a ticket at work for parking in a car spot. I can't park in "Harley Parking only" in front of building
at least the Buells are grandfathered in.

So all the competitors Brands are banished to the east lot, motorcycle parking

What kind of "ticket"? From an official police officer?

I work at the HD plant. It was a ticket issued by security.

I took the wing today, it was +4 when i left the house.
