Post in suspension. Alot of guys complain of harshness using RT, try Precision Concepts instead, or another shop that can customize your current valves (revalve them), to your riding style. Cheaper too...

Thanks for the info , I saw on procycle race tech upgrade and wondered if anyone had done it. I have heard of go race which a lot seem happy with his upgrade.

I've installed Race Tech Gold Valves on my shock and forks and love them.  More info on my setup is in this post.

I researched available suspension options thoroughly before choosing Race Tech.  I'm confident I'd have been just as pleased with a GoRace setup too.  Travis Jones at GoRace is also a WRR rider and has spent years building suspensions for these bikes.

FWIW the post above is the first I've heard of RT valving for the WRR being harsh.  I have no idea who those "alot of guys" are, but I'm hesitant to believe them, or that they actually exist, exist until I read their reports firsthand for my self.

My RT setup is a dream, and a game-changer for riding the bike off-road.  If interested you can see some of the places where I've enjoyed riding it in the linked thread above.

"Those guys" are all in this and other forums. They say RT sets up bikes on the aggressive/stiff side for MX, whereas Precision Concepts sets them up on the softer side which is more desert and street friendly . To each their own...

Thanks for the info on the Race tech gold valves , I like working on my bikes and thought this might be a less expensive upgrade , but I want a positive change so was wondering what others thoughts and experiences were with RT. Did you do your own shock or have someone else install the gold valves?

The WRR's 46mm OC forks are not anything like the 48mm CC KYB forks on Yamaha's MX bikes. MX suspension and valving is quite different. Please show us a couple of those posts where WRR riders claim that Race Tech valving for their bikes is harsh.

I have race tech gold valves.
When you get RT gold valves you pick the set up you want, so if its too stiff its your fault as you picked a stiff set up.
If you want it soft pick the beginner enduro set up, I went with a aggressive expert set up, it was stiff but that's what I wanted so I could hit jumps and whoops.
